Hello,

I'm thinging about taking the exam in china too.

Is it hard? Tell me more if you can.

(I'm architect in NY, no hong kong license, HKU.)

I would say it is not easy if you plan to take the formal exam like the other citizen in China in order to acquire the architect qualification in China. Besides, acquiring the qualification is differnt from becoming an architect in China. The architect registration system is somehow different.

As mentioned in my blog, the exam which I had gone through was a reciprocal program on architect qualification specially for Hong Kong experienced registered architects who were also practitioners in China. It was held in between 2003 and 2008.

By the way, do you mean you were educated in HKU and obtained the AIA and currently working in NY?

If you have any other query, please feel free to ask.
